According to the scriptures and folk customs, the intercourse which is done with good intentions only for the birth of a baby, is under the control of man. But the intercourse that is done for the sake of attachment, desire, pleasure etc., man becomes dependent on that intercourse and being under its control, he gets engaged inintercourse which is not worth doing and against the scriptures. Acting against the scriptures leads to downfall and all the sins and sorrows.
